Mothers Day Out
At First Baptist Church we have very high standards for teaching and caring for babies and young preschoolers. We know that so much spiritual development can take place during the very young years.  Some of the ways we seek to maintain quality involve:

- An emphasis on teaching and not just "babysitting".
- Every time we meet, every child hears about Jesus.
- Security procedures for leaving and picking up preschoolers, as well as a paging system for quick notification of parents when needed.
- Policies and procedures for cleanliness. A clean room with clean toys and equipments is one way of saying "you are important" to a child.
- Providing Bible teaching material for all Sunday School teachers of preschoolers.  Parents are given material to use at home to provide Biblical teaching for their child.

Sunday Morning

Preschool Sunday School
Hours: 9:30am - 12:00

Sunday School is designed to equip children with the basic knowledge of Bible stories and Bible truths.  Our goal is to teach each child about Jesus.  Application is made from scripture to everyday living.  We work to make children’s Bible study fun, creative and exciting.  Three, four and five-year-olds have an opportunity to participate in a weekly Memory Bible Verse program.

Jr. Children’s Church    6:00pm - 7:15pm

Our preschool discipleship program focuses on building the character of God in the lives of preschoolers ages 2-5.

Nursery is open for Preschoolers ages Birth-3 years old during Worship Service.

Jr. Children’s Church is for Children entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade. We sing fun songs, play games and that all focus on a central Bible truth.
Preschool Choir

Our choir program is for children age four and five.  They meet on Sundays. In addition to singing, a variety of teaching tools including games, instruments and movement are used during choir time.

Wednesday Evening

My Great Big God
Hours: 6:15 - 7:0

My Great Big God is a program designed to enhance Sunday School.  Each week the children re-visit their Sunday School lesson from the previous Sunday through games and activities.

Mothers Day Out

Hours:  Tuesday and Thursday 8:30am - 2:30pm

Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, happy, and loving Christian environment for children ages 2 years to pre-k. to learn both Bible truths and academics

Teachers
All Mother’s Day Out classes are staff with two teachers.  Teachers are trained to work with preschoolers and certified in CPR.  Teachers are thoroughly screened.  Most importantly, each of our teachers has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

Program
Mother’s Day Out uses many sources for curriculum.  All curriculum is selected to best meet the needs of each specific class and age group.  We are currently teaching Gospel Light’s Bright Beginnings for our Bible curriculum.
