Doug Dickson,
Young Adult Minister
Assistant Administrator
Doug Dickson was born and raised in Toccoa, Georgia. Although he grew up in church, he went mostly because his parents made him. But when he was in ninth grade, he heard the Gospel message and responded to God’s invitation to receive Him as Savior and Lord. The next few years were a time of great spiritual growth for Doug, and as a senior in high school, he surrendered to God’s call into full-time Christian ministry.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia, and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has worked in full-time ministry for the past fourteen years and has held staff positions in churches in Georgia and Tennessee. He has served at First Baptist Church since June of 2000. Doug says that he loves being a part of what God is doing at FBC Millington.
Doug has been married to Erin since 1989, and they have two children, Brooke, and Zachary. Doug enjoys hunting, working outside, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
